Let me tell you guys a story, a short one.
Before the era of distracting social media, Whatsapp & FaceBook in particular, and before the age of smartphones in general, we strove to connect to people face to face. Not 'online'! We had time to form relationships and forge friendships.
When I moved to Chennai on job shift around 2002, except for a few relatives, I had plenty of time and a new city to explore. After work, there was not much to do on the social scene. It was around the time that Blogging as a way to express your thoughts (and mostly feelings!) online was gaining popularity.
Writing came naturally to me and I deep dived into the new fad. Established my online space and then formed connections with local bloggers. Some of them started as 'online' connections around 'blogs' & 'bloggers', 'blogging' and eventually, it spilled over to meetings in real time and continued as friendships.
I am one of these lucky folks to still have bloggers who have turned friends, whom I can still call and we can talk and recollect the good times.
With a view to create new connections, I resume my blogging here and express my thoughts on the times that we live in. Drop by whenever you can, read up and stay in touch!
